Thanks for the tip! BTW, I discovered that stores in my area carry a bottled honey-ginger lemonade called Ginger 'Gizer (or Ginger Soother, which has slightly different ingredients). It's good stuff, but of course it's cheaper and tastier to make one's own. I like a little extra gingeriness.

grate the ginger and let it boil slowly with the lid on for about 10 minutes. I strain the ginger out, add organic honey and lemon - love it!

Yotam, "leave us hanging" is an interesting choice of words for that question. :)

If I ever learn the technique I'll be sure to let you know!

You're going to leave us hanging and not tell us how to extract one's testicles from inside the body cavity?

Nice blog, Ephraim! I like the initial story about "accidentally" losing all that weight. I could stand to lose a few pounds myself.

I see you're still at second place. I heard back from a tournament admistrator, who allowed me to restore my score for puzzle #2, so now I show up on the top ten list, six below you.

I think this is the first year I've been error-free (after proof-reading, that is). I'm all done now and still clinging to second place.

My proof-reading strategy is just as you suggest. I read through the across words, make sure I recognize each one and can recall the clue for any funny-looking ones. In the last tournament puzzle today I only realized how the theme worked as I got the last theme answer, so proof-reading gave me a chance to check the other theme answers.
